Can anyone have a spray tan?

Yes, as long as you're at least 15years of age.* Everybody is welcome, and so is every body; young, old, male, female, big, small and everyone in between.

*15-18 year olds will require parental consent.

I have sensitive skin, can I still tan?

Although it’s very rare, some people with sensitive skin can react to the key ingredients or add-on ingredients in spray tanning solutions. If you are concerned, please get in touch and we can arrange a complimentary patch test ahead of your appointment.

I'm having a baby!! Can I still tan?

Congratulations! We’d love to spray you and your growing bump, and a spray tan can really lift your spirits if you’re feeling a bit flat, but we prefer you hold off till after the first trimester.

Tanning whilst pregnant is a personal choice, and we encourage you to do your research or consult your GP if you have any questions. We will request you wear the provided protection and that you opt for a slower developing tan where possible.

How soon before a special event should I get my spray tan?

This really depends on the desired colour outcome, however we generally suggest 24-48 hours prior to your event will allow optimum time for the tan to fully develop post wash off. We have express, 6 hour and overnight spray tanning options and can recommend a solution for you.

How should I prepare for my spray tan?

Ideally all hair removal and exfoliation should be done at least 24-48 hours ahead of your appointment.

Do I have to take all my clothes off during my spray tan?

If you're having a full body spray tan then yes, you will need to take off your clothes off. If you really want a tan but are apprehensive about getting naked, then go for a half body tan or pop on your swimsuit, whatever makes you feel comfortable.

Ladies, you can wear your own underwear, no underwear or we can supply you with a disposable G-string. Gentleman, BYOU (Bring Your Own Undies, no undies no spray!).

How long does it take to get a spray tan?

The spray tan process takes about 15-20 minutes, including undressing, application and drying. We request you arrive 5 minutes early if you’re a newbie.

What do I wear after my appointment?

Opt for something loose, dark and comfortable (cotton clothing is best). Ladies, no bras straight after your tan to avoid strap marks. Open shoes are also advisable.

Is spray tanning safe?

Spray tanning is certainly a much safer alternative to prolonged exposure to UVB/UVA rays and does not damage or age the skin! While DHA has been approved for external application to the skin, it is highly recommended that precautions be taken to avoid/reduce inhalation, ingestion, or exposure to areas covered by mucous membranes.

All our spray booths are fitted with extraction fans and a selection of protective items are provided. If you are concerned, we encourage you to do your research and make your own informed decisions.

Do you spray tan my face?

It’s completely up to you. We generally recommend applying a light-medium spray to the face and can even apply it with some highlighting and contouring for a gorgeous finish!

Can I wear make-up right away?

We’d suggest waiting to apply fresh make up, face creams or wiping your face until after you’ve washed off your tan.

How long does a full body spray tan last?

A tan generally lasts 5-7 days and will fade naturally. Keeping your skin hydrated by moisturising each day will prolong the tan and help it fade evenly. Avoid long, hot showers or baths, swimming and mega work outs if you’d like your tan to last as long as possible.

HELP! My spray tan didn't work, what do I do?

Spray tanning is not the perfect science and there are always variables that can affect the outcome of your tan, from preparation to application through to wash off and post care. Please contact us so we can address your concerns, and we will always welcome your feedback.

How often do I need to moisturise after my spray tan?

Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise! We encourage you to moisturise and drink lots of water daily - spray tans can by drying to the skin, especially if you have opted for a fast developing tan.

Do I still need to wear sunscreen?

YES! Spray tanning solutions do not contain sun protection of any kind. While you’re at it, do yourself one better and book a skin check (2 in 3 Australians will be diagnosed with skin cancer by the age of 70).

How do I remove my tan?

For best results, soak in a warm bath for 20-30 minutes and scrub a dub dub! An exfoliating mitt is the best way to remove any stubborn tan. You don’t necessarily need any fancy scrubs or tan removal products but they can help.
